Do you ever get tired of hearing things like:
“Enjoy EVERY MOMENT because they grow up too fast.” 🙄
“You’ll miss when they throw tantrums.”🤨
“One day they wont crawl into bed with you in the middle of the night.”
(Ok, it was pretty cute how he crawled into our bed at 4am this morning, but it wasn’t cute that he never went back to sleep 🙄)
I get it Perky Patty.🤦🏻♀️
It’s hard to enjoy the moments when I’m running on little to no sleep for an entire week. 🧟♀️<— What I imagine I look like right now.
I don’t enjoy when my toddler throws a fit over every little thing and I refuse to give him an iPad to shut him up. 😤
It’s hard to enjoy the moment when your 4 month old is going through a growth spurt and cluster feeding. 🤱🏻She is literally sucking the life out of me.
Don’t get me wrong. These two are pretty stinking cute and when they already have such a sweet love it makes me want all the babies right now! ❤️but 10 min before (and probably 10 min after if we are being honest) they made me want to scream and pull all my hair out. 😡🥴
So this morning at 6am when I’m watching this video to remind myself just how much I love these two babies, I realized something important.
It’s ok to not enjoy EVERY SINGLE MOMENT.
It’s ok to be frustrated.
It’s ok to not be ok.
It’s ok.
But do something just for yourself today mama. (I’m preaching to the choir here 🙀) I’m not talking go to target 🎯and shop for your kids or go to the grocery store by yourself 🛒I mean really do something for YOU.
Take a bubble bath 🛀
Read a book 📚
Go for a walk 🏃🏼♀️
Whatever makes you happy, do that. 💁🏻♀️
Take a breath and TRY to forget that you’re surrounded by tiny terrorists. 😉
